Every consultation starts with the same question — “which one should I get?” — and the honest answer is always “it depends on your lashes, your calendar and your mirror.” Here is the comparison we walk through, without the sales gloss.
Classic: the understatement
One extension per natural lash. Your lash line, edited — longer, darker, curled — but structurally unchanged. Classics suit clients with reasonably dense natural lashes, conservative workplaces, and anyone nervous about looking “done”.
The catch: classics can only match the density you already have. Sparse natural lashes produce a sparse classic set, no matter how skilled the artist. That’s physics, not technique.
Hybrid: the crowd favourite
A hand-mixed blend — typically 70% classic, 30% narrow fans — that adds texture and believable fullness. Hybrids photograph beautifully because the alternating lengths create the wispy, editorial spikes that strip lashes and filters imitate.
If you bring us a saved photo from social media, roughly eight times out of ten the look you’re holding is a hybrid. It flatters almost every eye shape, which is exactly why it’s our most-booked set.
Russian volume: the statement
Fans of three to six ultra-fine lashes wrapped around each natural lash. Density that classics cannot reach, softness that heavy single extensions cannot fake. Volume is the answer for sparse natural lashes, special occasions, and clients who simply want more.
Counter-intuitively, well-made volume can be gentler than classics on fine lashes — several 0.05 mm lashes distribute weight better than one thick 0.15 mm extension. The technique matters enormously though, which is why we assess lash strength before every first volume set.

The set we’d talk you out of
Whichever one your natural lashes can’t support this month. Lashes weakened by a previous bad set, a big seasonal shed or lash-pulling habits need rehabilitation before drama — usually a lash lift and a serum plan, then extensions six to eight weeks later. A studio that never says “not yet” is a studio to be wary of.
